---I put forth the comment that I wonder why some musicians favor the vacuum tube to transistors. I was with my friend John T., at the time. I didn't really expect an answer...at least one that seemed right.
---I should have seen this coming, but I was very ''unused,'' to getting any kind of viable response from anyone along these lines. But, then comes John. He had been homeless for a number of years...and who'd a' thought?
---He proceeded to say that the tube makes the player sound more human, while the transistor has a mechanical sound to it. Tubes sound more real than transistors. The explanation may sound very simple, but that's the way I like them, in this arena.
